Photo-Realism

Photo realism is a computer generated image that is realistic. It should be hard to spot whether it is real or not.

Some games that use this are The Last of Us and Until Dawn.

The reason they use this for these types of games is so that they can make the player believe that what they are seeing is more real so that they can feel more emotions whilst playing the game, for example more scared. 

Abstraction

Abstraction are games that are based around geometry meaning that there are  lots of different shapes and colors.

One popular game that uses this is Tetris along with may other games.

The reason that these games use these bright colours and abstract shapes is so that they stand out when compared to other games.

Pixel

Pixel games are 2D games that tend to fall into the category of a challenge game for example Pac Man or Super Mario.

These games are two of most famous Pixel related games.

Players of these games are usually attracted towards the game because they are difficult to beat so many competitive players will play these games.

Exaggeration

Exaggeration falls into the category of anime and magma type games. These type of games exaggerate body features and environments.

Some popular exaggeration games are final fantasy and Naruto Ninja Storm Generations.

Players of these types of games tend to like them because of the story lines in them and the developed characters with in them as well.
